Carl, a proud Buckeye hails from Lexington, Ohio and developed his love for the outdoors during his family’s summers on Lake Erie boating, waterskiing and fishing as well as through visits to their cabin nestled in the Allegheny Mountains of northwest Pennsylvania. His college educational journey led him to Columbus, Ohio where he attended The Ohio State University which helped him shape the foundations of a rich and varied life.

Carl and his wife Toni of 19 years share their life together and also a history of military service having both served as enlisted and commissioned officers. Carl retired from the Air National Guard after 21 years of service. His mission focused on enhancing morale and recreation opportunities including operating fitness centers, dining halls, base hotels and organizing events for troops and their families. Being a veteran certainly prepared him in many ways for his career in real estate.

Toni is a nurse manager at Sarasota Memorial Hospital's Brian D. Jellison cancer institute. They're proud parents to three teenagers. Nicolas works part-time work at Publix and will attend University of Southern Florida after high school. Ellen’s passion is dancing, at Art and Soul studios in Lakewood Ranch, and Nathan plays baseball with the Sarasota Babe Ruth League. Their busting household also has two cats, Cleo and Stripes, and a Cavapoo named Oreo. Together they enjoy the beach, watching movies, and trying new restaurants around Sarasota.

Carl's commitment to community is evidenced in his several years he was sports and games director at their local AWANA church program and his service as assistant cub master for his boys' Cub Scout troop. An active member of the Military Officer Association of Sarasota (MOAS), Carl serves as the Director of Membership, pursuing outreach opportunities to support and serve the citizens of Sarasota while fostering camaraderie among members. The association provides student scholarships and environmental initiatives, such as area beach cleanups just to name a few of their endeavors.

Using his degree in Sustainable Resource Management, Carl initially worked in the fields of drinking water security and emergency management. He was part of a pioneering group that forged public-private partnerships after 9/11 with Fortune 500 companies for emergency response needs at the local, county and state levels. This work spanned over a decade and was full of diverse challenges and successes, which coupled with his military service prepared him for a successful and fulfilling career in real estate.

Before launching his full-time real estate career in 2014 with Coldwell Banker Realty, Carl caught the "real estate bug" back in 2005 when he purchased his first investment property... which quickly turned into four multi-unit properties. Since then, his passion for real estate has continued to flourish.

Carl is well-versed in condos, the existing single family home market and new builds in the Sarasota area. Carl guides clients through the intricacies of the buying and selling process from beginning to end and his attention to detail is unmatched.
